The Senior Special Assistant to the Kano State Governor on Local Government Matters, Hon. Bashir Abubakar Yaro Galadima, has applauded the Takai Local Government Council for its prudent resource management and remarkable infrastructural strides.
Galadima gave the commendation during an inspection tour to assess projects executed from the N300 million allocation disbursed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to each of the 44 local government councils in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor, the SSA expressed satisfaction with the visible transformation in Takai, citing completed and ongoing projects, including new roads, health facilities, and educational institutions. He praised the council’s leadership for its accountability, transparency, and commitment to effective governance.
“Takai has set an excellent example of how resources should be managed for the benefit of the people. This is a model that other LGAs in Kano should emulate,” Galadima stated.

In his response, Takai LGA Chairman, Hon. Muntari Ibrahim Faruruwa, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his administration’s determination to continue prioritising the welfare of residents.
He noted that within a short period, the council had executed more projects than the previous administration achieved in eight years.

Faruruwa commended Governor Yusuf for empowering local councils through adequate funding and guidance, stressing that the governor’s intervention has provided the tools needed to accelerate grassroots development.
The chairman outlined ongoing initiatives in healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, designed to uplift living standards across the council area.
The SSA assured that the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs would continue working closely with councils to sustain development and deliver greater progress across Kano State.
