The Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Professor Haruna Musa, has received the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exit reports for four academic programmes.
The VC, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Development, Professor Amina Mustapha, welcomed the accreditation teams and expressed the University’s appreciation for their work.
The accreditation team for the three computing programmes Information Technology, Cyber Security, and Software Engineering was chaired by Professor Awodele Oludele of Babcock University.
In another development, the VC also received the accreditation exit report for the BSc Optometry programme from the NUC delegation led by Professor Faustina K. Idu.
Presenting the report, Professor Idu commended the University for its pioneering role in advancing Optometry education in Northern Nigeria.
She praised BUK’s commitment to quality assurance, infrastructural development, staff capacity building, research collaboration, and a robust external examination system, describing these elements as key contributors to the programme’s exceptional performance.
