The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has re-elected Alhaji Usman Bello Suru as its Chairman, along with 38 other executive members, to lead the party for another four-year term.
The State Delegates’ Congress, held in Birnin Kebbi, was attended by party stakeholders and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Announcing the results, Chairman of the State Delegates’ Congress, Dr. Mukhtar Lugga, described the exercise as transparent, credible, and fair.
He commended the delegates drawn from all 21 local government areas of the state for their patience, orderliness, and commitment throughout the process.

In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Bello Suru expressed gratitude to party members for their trust and confidence.
He pledged to reconcile aggrieved members, strengthen party structures, and build a robust grassroots network to restore PDP’s relevance in Kebbi politics.
“We will work tirelessly, with honesty and integrity, to reposition our great party and reclaim power in Kebbi State, Insha Allah,” he said.
Also speaking, former PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, General Aminu Bande (rtd.), congratulated the new executives and urged them to prioritize unity and inclusiveness in the party.

Other key officials returned include Hussaini Abdullahi Raha as Deputy Chairman and Abubakar Bawa Kalgo as Secretary.
The congress marks a renewed effort by the PDP to reposition itself ahead of future elections in Kebbi State.
