Jigawa Golden Stars FC has officially unveiled Coach Abdullahi Adamu as the club’s new Technical Adviser.
The Public Relations Officer Jigawa Golden Stars FC Ibrahim Isyaku disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen.
He said, the move is part of preparations for the second half of the 2024/2025 Nigerian National League (NNL) season.
It was, reported that, The management of Jigawa Golden Stars FC has issued a two-match ultimatum to Head Coach, Ado Mato and his assistants following a series of disappointing results in the ongoing Nigeria National League, NNL.
He said the appointment comes as the club seeks to strengthen its squad and technical direction in a bid to maintain its league status and contend for promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Coach Abdullahi Adamu brings a wealth of experience to the Dutse-based club, having previously served in various technical roles across several Nigerian clubs. His coaching resume includes stints as a Technical Adviser for Zamfara United FC, Mai Kunkele United FC Minna, and Wikki Tourists FC. He also worked as Chief Coach of Katsina United FC and Head Coach of Green Beret FC.
Among his notable achievements, Coach Adamu is credited with helping Wikki Tourists avoid relegation and leading Green Beret FC to promotion into the NNL. His experience and tactical knowledge are expected to play a crucial role in guiding Jigawa Golden Stars toward a successful campaign in the league.
Speaking during his unveiling, Coach Adamu expressed his commitment to ensuring that Jigawa Golden Stars not only retain their place in the NNL but also push for a Super 8 qualification and, ultimately, a spot in the NPFL next season.
Club officials and supporters have welcomed his appointment with optimism, hoping that his leadership will inspire the team to greater heights in the ongoing season.
