The Kano State Government has issued a stern warning to unruly youths to desist from disrupting the relative peace enjoyed in communities across the state or face the full wrath of the government.

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, Retired Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Umar, gave the warning during a security assessment visit to Kurna Tudun Fulani, a hotspot in Dala Local Government Area.

The visit followed credible intelligence reports indicating that some unscrupulous youths have been terrorizing residents, resulting in the loss of properties and lives.

Expressing deep concern, the Commissioner condemned a recent clash among youths that claimed the life of one Abba Sa’idu Mai Hula.

AVM Umar (Rtd) emphasized that since the inception of the current administration under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, significant efforts have been made to empower unemployed youths through skill acquisition programs aimed at promoting self-reliance and productivity.

Tinubu Ordered Security Agencies To End Insecurity Before December- Badaru

“Security is a collective responsibility. Therefore, all hands must be on deck to safeguard the lives and property of citizens,” he stated.

He urged every household to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious individuals in order to address the security challenges effectively.

Speaking during the visit, the Ward Head of Tudun Fulani, Malam Usaini Ibrahim, appealed to the government to intensify efforts to tackle insecurity in the area.

He proposed converting a nearby refuse dump site into a police outpost to enhance the security presence in the community.

The commissioner, accompanied by local elders and the Ward Head, visited the proposed site and assured them that the government would be duly advised on the matter.

In a show of sympathy, AVM Umar (Rtd), along with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Dan’asabe Yahya, and all Directors, paid a condolence visit to Malam Sa’idu Mai Hula, father of the deceased, Abba Sa’idu.

They prayed for Allah’s mercy on the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the loss.
