Madobi Local Government Council, led by Executive Chairman Suleiman Dan Azumi, organized a town hall meeting to discuss the council’s budget.
The meeting aimed to review the budget, ensure it aligns with community needs, and promote transparency and accountability.
This move allows residents to participate directly in governing their town.
Earlier, the Head of Planning research and statistics department Alhaji Ado Abdulrahman Nakorama Said the town hall meeting provided a platform for residents to contribute to the decision-making process, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility.
In his welcome address, the deputy governor who doubles as commissioner for local governments and chieftaincy affairs Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, represented by deputy director PRS Alhaji Yunusa Abbas, noted that the Kano State Government has been engaging citizens through town hall meetings to ensure transparency and accountability.
Adding that these meetings demonstrate the government’s commitment to involving citizens in the decision-making process.

He outlined priority areas for the upcoming 2025 fiscal year, focusing on Infrastructure Development, Education, Healthcare and Economic Empowerment.
District Head of Madobi, Alhaji Baba Musa Sale Kwankwaso, appreciated participants and urged collaboration between the local government council and village heads to achieve the desired objectives.
The town hall meeting witnessed a large turnout of Prominent dignitaries, including Vice Chairman Mustafa Hudu Kubarachi and Council Leader Rabiu Tijjani Kafin Agur, among others.
