The Aminu Kano college of education AKCOE in Affiliation with federal university Dutsinma FUDMA has organized the 2nd matriculation ceremony for it’s undergraduate students and journal launching.

The event attracted representatives from the national commission for colleges of education, ministry of education and all relevant stakeholders in the education sector from within and outside the state.

In his remarks, the provost Aminu Kano college of education AKCOE Dr. Ayuba Ahmed Muhammad explained that, the colleges has matriculated over four thousand students since inception.

He pointed out that, the college was committed to academic excellence in science and art courses through NCE, Diploma and Degree programs in Affiliation with the federal university Dutsinma.

“Students from within and outside the country are currently studying in AKCOE, which is a testament to the quality of education “

Dr. Ayuba maintained that, the college has been accredited to commence a post graduate diploma in education to provide the required knowledge for students.

He stressed that, the AKCOE journal was a result of research and hard work from prominent academicians.

“The representative from the national commission for colleges of education stared that the AKCOE journal is the first of its kind among the newly established private colleges of education in the northern part of the country”

The special adviser to Kano state governor on higher education, Professor Auwalu Halliru Arzai described the college of education as a citadel of learning that provides qualitative education.

“Non profit institutions such as AKCOE assist the government in providing good and qualitative education”

He maintained that, the state government was committed to improving education to international standards. As such, it has set aside 31% of its 2025 budget for education.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Malliya Shehu Ibrahim from the Department of Educational Administration and Planning pledged to rededicate herself to studies and use the journal to improve her education.

The chief launcher, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Barnawi stated that the state government has purchased five journals at five million naira, the VC FUDMA Professor Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi one million naira, Ajiyan Kazaure Alhaji Nu’uman Bara’u Dambatta one million naira among others
