KANO (Kano, North West Nigeria) – Faizu Alfindiki, the former Chairman of Kano Municipal Council, has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi.
In a statement, Alfindiki described the late Galadiman Kano as a distinguished elder statesman and a pillar of the Kano Emirate, who dedicated his life to serving the Emirate and holding key traditional positions.

Alfindiki praised Alhaji Abbas Sanusi’s contributions to the development of Kano State, saying his demise has left an unfillable void in the Emirate and the state as a whole.
He extended his sympathies to the family of the deceased, the APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, and the entire Kano Emirate Council.

The former Chairman noted that the late Galadiman Kano was a highly revered community leader who will always be remembered for his laudable contributions to peace, stability, and progress in Kano. He prayed that Allah will receive the late Galadima’s soul and grant him eternal rest.
Alfindiki also commiserated with the Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, and the entire family of the late Galadiman Kano, saying “May Allah grant his family, and the entire people of Kano the strength to bear this irreparable loss”.
The people of Kano have been mourning the loss of the late Galadiman Kano, who passed away at the age of 91. His demise has been described as a tremendous blow, not only to the immediate family but to the entire state and beyond.
The late Galadiman Kano’s contributions to the development of Kano State will not be forgotten. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
