The Kantin Kwari Market Traders Association in Kano has been thrown into chaos after its Chairman, Ambassador Ishaq Alqassim Tatari was suspended by some of the executive members. The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a supplementary budget of N99.2 billion into law, increasing the state’s budget from N437.3 billion to N536.5 billion. The bill was introduced on August 26, 2024, at the request of Governor Abba Yusuf. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says the death toll from the building collapse in Noman’s Land Quarters, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano, has increased to three.
