The Zonal Commander, Abdullahi Babale made the disclosure during the handing-over of the victims rescued by the Kano State Hisbah Board. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has received commendation for creating adequate awareness on the need for routine vaccination of children against polio and other diseases that hamper the health of children in Kano and across Nigeria. 28 year mother of three Khadijat Hussein explained that she was convinced to approve administration of polio vaccination on her children through UNICEF campaigns and enlightenment programmes. By Ramatu Garba The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command, says 70 per cent of inmates are awaiting trial across the custodial centres in the state. The Public Relations Officer of the Command, SC Musbahu Lawan, disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the State Headquarters on Monday in Kano.
