Kano state government (KNSG), has initiated the distribution of palliatives to patients on admission to government hospitals across the State. Kano State Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, who led the distribution of 10 kilograms of rice and 10 kilograms of maize to each patient admitted at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) and Abubakar Imam Urology Centre on behalf of the Governor said the initiative was aimed at providing support. The Kano state government KNSG has advised citizen groups to reintegrate and track budgets to ensure the completion of abandoned projects in the state. The permanent secretary Kano State Ministry of Planning and Budget (MoPB), Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso made the call during a one-day validation and dissemination of the Kano State 2024 citizens budget. The federal government says it would restrategize to ensure that consumers of electricity are served in line with the country’s investment regulations. The commissioner of consumer affairs  Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Aisha Mahmud made the indication during a three-day customer complaint resolution meeting organized for electricity consumers in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa.
