The Nigeria Police Force has called on citizens to report any cases of extortion by constabulary personnel, reaffirming its commitment to tackling corruption within its ranks.

Spokesperson of the Kano State Command SP. Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa stated this while parading a constabulary at the command‘s headquarters, Bompai, Kano.
He said the appeal comes amid growing concerns over alleged miconduct by constabulary officer One Ado Abba extortion money from the public.

The spokesperson explained that CP. Salman Dogs Garba of the Kano State Police command has taken measures to fish out the bad elements within the system.
Kiyawa pointed out that the officer had been expelled from the constabulary due to several reports of extortion by the general public.
He urged the residents to report any constabulary officer extortion money from the public to the command for appropriate action.
