Alhaji Auwalu Malami, Interim Management Officer of Madobi Local Government, has emphasized the importance of protecting children from polio, urging parents and caregivers to ensure their children receive the life-saving vaccine.

This plea was made during the flag-off of the polio immunization exercise at Hausawa Kanwa Ward, aiming to vaccinate children under five years and create a polio-free Madobi.

According to him, 2024 September OBR3 campaign Targets 53,700 children under five years

The IMO emphasized on the importance of Personal Hygiene and Encouraged parents to adopt good hygiene practices due to cholera outbreaks in some local government areas.

Earlier , the primary health care co’ordinator of the area Hajiya Wasila Muhammad Usman said they were expected to vaccinate Fifty three thousand , Seven hundred Children on this round and enjoyed parents in the area to adopt the habit of personal hygiene as the result of Cholera out break in some local Governments areas of the State.

The Health Educator Madobi Malam Almu A Nura stressed the crucial role of community involvement in the polio immunization campaign.

National Orientation Agency (NOA) Officer Mr. Olayinka highlighted the significance of registering births.

Dignitaries in attendance included District Head of Madobi Makaman Karaye, represented by Village Head of Kanwa Malam Umar Maitama, and Chief Personal Officer Alhaji Musa Isa Kura.

They commended the medical department, parents, and development partners for their support and cooperation.

This initiative is part of Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to eradicate polio, with Kano State leading the charge.
