The newly appointed Governing Council, Federal College of Education Technical FCET Bichi, Kano, has held its inaugural meeting with the management of the institution, where they commended Federal government interventions in the school.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting in Bichi, the chairman governing council, Senator Muhammad Abba-Aji extolled President Bola Tinubu over his commitment to reviving the education sector

He also highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to supporting education and providing the necessary resources for institutionsns to thrive.

The chairman further pledged his commitment to continue with the positive developments in the institution.

“As the chairman of the governing council, I will operate an open door policy, where everyone will be carried along for the development of the institution,” he said.

He said that the institution had a rich history of producing quality educators and emphasized the importance of collective efforts to sustain and preserve these legacies.

Senator Abba-Aji, who thanked President Bola Tinubu for giving them the opportunity to serve in that capacity, pledged to justify the confidence reposed on him and his members.

He commended the deputy senate president, Barau Jibrin and member representing Bichi federal constituency, Kabir Abubakar for their efforts in bringing federal projects and interventions to the institution.

The former prresidential liaison officer, the national assembly, who lauded the Provost for his developmental strides in the institution, assured that the tempo would be sustained.

Earlier, the provost, Dr Bashir Sabo Abubakar congratulated the chairman and the members on their appointment and promised to create an enabling environment for them to succeed.

He expressed confidence that the chairman would bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear in the discharge of his new assignment.

Paradigm News reports that the governing council members, in the company of the Provost, inspected ongoing projects both in old and new sites of the school.
