Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has been honored with two prestigious awards.The Nigeria Institute of Building (NIB) presented him with an “Award of Excellence” in recognition of his outstanding strides in infrastructure development within the state.
This award was conferred on the governor at the end of the NIB’s National Conference held in Kano.

The Commissioner of Procurement, Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Nura Iro Ma’aji, expressed the institute’s appreciation for Governor Yusuf’s efforts in boosting the state’s infrastructure.
In addition to the NIB award, Governor Yusuf was also recognized as a “Gender Sensitive Governor” in commemoration of the 2025 Women’s Day.
This award acknowledges his empowerment initiatives, which have positively impacted thousands of women, as well as his commitment to gender inclusiveness in governance.
Governor Yusuf expressed gratitude for the awards and pledged to continue implementing policies and programs that directly benefit the people of Kano State.
