Kano State house of Assembly says it is committed to ensuring improved welfare package for Hisba Personnel to ensure effective service delivery.

Member representing Minjibir constituency, Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdul made the indication while receiving the deputy Commander General of the Kano state Hisba Board Dr Mujahideen Aminuddeen Abubakar at the assembly complex in Kano.

The Kano State Hisbah Corps was established by the state government in 2000 and was improved in 2003 with the institutionalization of formerly local and privately maintained hisbah security units.

Earlier Abdulhamid Minjibir sponsored a bill calling on the upward review remuneration and allowences of the Hisba Corps for absortion into the civil service.

He explained that due to the critical role of the board the house of assembly will look into the issue of amending the law establishing hisbah for subsequent approval by the executive.

“The motion has been moved and adopted before forwarding it to the executive we will follow up to ensure the implementation insha”

Deputy Commander General, Dr Mujahideen Aminuddeen Abubakar commended member representing Minjibir for his foresight in sponsoring the bill.

He pointed out that Kano state hisbah will not relent in its efforts of sanitizing Kano free of all forms of vices.

Recall that on Monday 14th October 2024 the member representing Minjibir Abdulhamid Abdul presenting a motion calling on Kano state house of assembly to look into the possibility of reabsorbing hisbah personnel into the state civil service in addition to the upward review of their renumeration and allowances.
