The commissioner of education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, has inaugurated the newly elected executives of the Kano State Accountability Forum on Education (K-SAFE).

Speaking at the occasion, Doguwa assured of his unflinching support to the newly inaugurated leadership of K-SAFE.

Doguwa told K-SAFE leadership that his door is open for advice on how to take education in Kano state to greater heights.

The Commissioner advised the new leadership to engage their predecessors to consolidate their achievements.

He said the state Is looking into the possibility of opening 7-10 boarding schools closed by the previous administration this term.

In his inaugural speech, the chairman of K-SAFE Dr Auwalu Halilu said the forum consists of civil society organisations, civil servants, academics and media advocating for improved best practices in education in Kano state.

He noted that K-SAFE is supporting Kano state government in education sub sector to ensure accountability and effective service delivery.

The newly inaugurated Exco has Dr Auwalu Halilu as co-chairperson (CSO) and Malam Munzali Mustapha co-chair (government).

Others are Dr Abdussalam Muhammad Kani, Secretary; Maryam Garba Usman, Assistant Secretary (CSO); Surajo Mahe Alkali, Assistant Secretary (Government); Abubakar Abdullahi, Treasurer; Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim, Public Relations Officer l and Nafisa Murtala Ahmad, Public Relations Officer ll.

Others are Hassan Ibrahim Gama, chairman advocacy committee, Rukayya Abdulrahman, secretary advocacy committee; Akibu Hamisu, chairman Resource Mobilization committee; Hafsat Ibrahim secretary of Resource Mobilization committee.

Abdulrazaq Ado Zango, chairman evidence committee CSO; Suleiman Umar Ismail, secretary evidence committee CSO; Suyudi Isa Jibrin, chairman Knowledge Management Committee and Aisha Yanleman as secretary of Knowledge Management Committee.
