The award was presented during a sideline meeting at the United Nations CSW69 (2025) in New York, USA, in recognition of Rimingado’s outstanding commitment to justice and human rights, particularly in defending the rights of women and children in Kano State.

In his remarks, Rimingado expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and commended the United Nations CSW for its annual program, which raises awareness and alleviates the suffering of marginalized groups worldwide.
