To enhance effective education transformation in Kano State, the Kano Capital Girls Secondary School Kano Old Students Association KACOSA 99 has donated instructional materials worth thousands of Naira to the school. As part of the celebration to mark their 25th anniversary.
Kano Prioritizes Education, Encourage Community Involvement
The donations, according to the project coordinator Dr Aysha Adhama, aimed at improving the educational infrastructure and conducive learning environment for the current student.
The educational materials donated were.12 packs of refillable markers, 100 pieces of attendance registers,
1000 pieces of brown envelopes (foolscap size), 2 boxes of marker refill ink, 3 cartons of A4 size paper, 24 Pieces of Magnetic Duster, 10 whiteboards (120 by 240), and 100 pieces of Record of Workbooks.

Adhama added “We believe that these materials will be of great benefit to the school and its students, We are proud to be able to give back to our alma mater in this way and look forward to continuing to supporteducation of future generations.”
Speaking while handing over the instructional materials the Chairperson of the association, Hajiya Hannatu Faruk urged the students to be of good character and excellence.

“we hope that these materials will inspire you to reach for excellence and strive for greatness. Remember that you are the future leaders of our community, and we have every confidence that you will make a positive impact.”
Hannatu added that the alma mater has pledged to give all the necessary support for the growth and development of the school.

In her remarks the Principal of the school Hajiya Bilkisu G. Usman expressed gratitude to the alumni for the gesture, promising to use the materials donated to them judiciously.
“Today we are very happy with the kind gesture from the KACOSA 99 chapter as it came on the time we need them most.”
She urged other members of the society to emulate the alumni of KACOSA 99 for what they have done nothing that “ at this critical moment when the government alone cannot provide all the necessary materials to it’s schools. So we need the support of the alma mater”
The event also featured career talk to the students on few professions by some members of the alumni.
Furthermore the alumni launched a new project #bringackyourchair# as their next project in 2025 where every member of the alma mater is expected to bring back the chair she had used during her school time.
