The newly redeployed Kano State Commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Hajia Aisha Lawal Saji Rano, officially resumed her duties today following her appointment by Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The transition took place at the Ministry’s headquarters, where she was warmly received by staff and stakeholders in the sector.
According to the Information Officer of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Amina Lawan Isah, Hajia Aisha Saji Rano expressed profound gratitude to Governor Yusuf for entrusting her with the opportunity to continue serving his administration.
She pledged to revitalize tourism and cultural activities in line with the Governor’s policies and programs.
The Commissioner highlighted the critical role of teamwork and collaboration among all stakeholders in achieving the state’s tourism objectives.
She also appealed to the ministry staff and leaders of parastatals to support her vision of advancing Kano’s tourism and culture sector.
In her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Kubrah Imam, assured Hajia Saji Rano of the staff’s full cooperation to ensure her success.
Similarly, the Managing Director of the Kano State Tourism Board, Alhaji Tukar Bala Sagagi, speaking on behalf of other parastatal heads, lauded Governor Yusuf’s commitment to enhancing the state’s tourism and cultural heritage.
