Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commended the successful conduct of local government elections across all 44 councils, hailing it as a milestone in the state’s democratic journey.
The governor attributed the success to the Supreme Court’s July affirmation of Local Government autonomy, which guided his administration’s decision to preserve council tenure.
The governor praised the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) for conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections.
