The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to introduce a subsidy for the 2025 Hajj.

Speaking during a live interview on the Barka da Hatsi program aired on Freedom Radio earlier today, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u highlighted the economic difficulties facing Nigerians.

He noted that these challenges have made it increasingly difficult for intending pilgrims to afford the cost of performing the sacred religious obligation.

“In view of the current situation in the nation, I appeal to the Federal Government to consider granting a subsidy for the benefit of our Muslim Ummah. This will ensure that more people can fulfill their religious duty without undue financial stress,” he said.

He also advised intending pilgrims to pay their deposits through bank drafts before the stipulated deadline to facilitate effective planning and logistics.

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains dedicated to ensuring a smooth and successful pilgrimage experience for all participants.
