The Kano State Government has announced plans to renovate the Dawakin Kudu sports complex and convert it into a training camp for Kano Pillars Football Club.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Rabi’u Kwankwaso disclosed this while defending his ministry’s budget at the kano state house of assembly.

According to him, the state government has allocated funds for the renovation of all sports facilities in the state, including the Sani Abacha Stadium, Sabon Gari Stadium, and the Gwagwarwa and Kurna sports complexes.

The commissioner also announced plans to focus on youth development initiatives in the upcoming year, including vocational training and entrepreneurship programs to empower young people.

Mustapha emphasized that the state government is committed to investing in youth development, given the large youth population in Kano State.

Others who defended their budgets include Kano state pension fund trusties, Kano state emergency management agency SEMA among others.
