The Kano State Police Command has taken a significant step in supporting the families of deceased police officers and those injured in the line of duty.
On October 8, 2024, Commissioner of Police Salman Dogo Garba presented cheques totaling N83,102,207.38 to 45 beneficiaries.
According to SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, ANIPR, MNISMA, Police Public Relations Officer, for the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, “the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries is a clear demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police’s commitment to the welfare of police personnel and their families.
“This gesture reinforces the police force’s dedication to supporting its officers and their loved ones”
The beneficiaries are the Next of Kin of deceased Police Officers and Police victims of accidents.
This financial support aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by the families of fallen heroes who have paid the ultimate price while serving the nation.
Commissioner Salman Dogo Garba emphasized the importance of utilizing this support wisely, ensuring it brings relief and comfort during difficult times. He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds.
