Managing Director of Kano State Housing Corporation, Alh Abdullahi Rabi’u, has commended the Kano office of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for its efforts in minimizing road accidents through public sensitization.

He acknowledged the importance of the FRSC’s work, stating that it’s a humanitarian endeavor that saves lives and appreciates their services in clearing traffic congestion and preventing road accidents.
During a visit from the Kano State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Alh Umar Mas’ud Matazu, the Managing Director advised intensifying public enlightenment efforts to educate the public on the importance of obeying driving rules and regulations.

He also pledged to address the lingering issue of the Kano command office at Bandirawo estate.
The Sector Commander, Alh Umar Mas’ud Matazu, revealed plans to open offices across the state’s geopolitical zones to enhance operations and embark on an enlightenment campaign targeting stakeholders, including traditional rulers and motorists, on the dangers of reckless driving.
Notably, the FRSC has been actively working to improve road safety in Nigeria.
Recently, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, approved the deployment of 20 new Sector Commanders to different states, including Kano, to reposition the Corps for better performance and quality service delivery.

The FRSC has also been collaborating with various organizations to promote road safety awareness.
