The National Secretary Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Hajiya Wasila Ladan has urged government and security agencies to ensure Justice for victims of the Kano Mosque explosion.

Wasila made the call during a visit to the victims currently receiving medical attention at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Kano.

She sympathized with and victims and called for necessary action on the perpetrator who committed the atrocious act on his blood relatives.

The national secretary prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of those at the hospital.

The chief medical director, of Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Dr Hussain Muhammad explained that the incident occurred last week during the subhi prayer in Gezawa.

He stressed that the almost all the victims of the arson sustained 80 degree burns,saying that out of the  28 people admitted only 8 were currently at the hospital.
Dr. Hussaini maintained that Kano state Governor Alhaji Abba kabir Yusuf was committed to improving welfare of the victims through free medical attention, installation of  additional air conditioners in the wards and provision of power generator for sustainable power supply,feeding among others.

“As for now, The victims need support from people and philanthropists based on basic needs such as blood donation”

He pointed out that notable among those who visited the victims includes the Deputy Governor Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo,  Senator Rufai Hanga, Hajiya Amina and former Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi, and other philanthropists among others.
