The Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano State Chapter in collaboration with the Ungogo Local Government Council celebrated international children’s Day with a grand event at Kansuwa in Ungogo local government.
The chairperson Nigerian women Journalists Kano chapter (NAWOJ) Hajiya Hafsat Sani Usman said the significant event aims to celebrate and honor the children within communities.
Hafsat Sani Usman emphasized on the potentials of children as future leaders that needs to be groomed and guided.
The celebration featured series of activities designed to be both educational and entertaining for the children.
Highlights of the event were sessions on children’s rights, health, and safety to inform and empower young minds.
Cultural Performances Showcasing the talents and heritage of local children through various cultural expressions, including dance, music, and drama,Games and creative art contests, were observed with exciting prizes won.
The interim management officer of ungogo local government Alhaji sani Abdu ungogo said the collaboration between NAWOJ Kano State Chapter and the Ungogo Local Government Council highlights a joint commitment to the development and well-being of children.

The education secretary ungogo local government Hajiya Usaina Ibrahim and village head of kansuwa commended Kano state chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women journalists (NAWOJ) and ungogo local government for hosting the world childrens day in the area.
