The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) to provide technical training for Chief Executive Officers and top management staff of Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), and government parastatals.
The agreement, signed in Abuja, is aimed at reinventing, reinvigorating, and re-orientating leadership in the public sector, while strengthening the capacity of CEOs and senior officials to deliver citizen-driven, efficient, and effective services.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, NIPR Registrar and Secretary to Council, Chief Uzoma Onyegbadue, who signed on behalf of the Institute, commended the initiative.

He expressed optimism that the project would herald a new narrative in the nation’s civil service, improving performance and accountability.
On his part, the Director General of BPSR, Dr. D. I. Arabi, who signed for the Bureau, described the MoA as timely, noting that it aligns with the ongoing reform efforts in the public service.

According to him, the collaboration will help MDAs achieve set goals and meet the expectations of Nigerians.
The NIPR delegation also included Barr. Moses Duku, Chairman of the Joint Planning Committee for the training; Tonia Monye; and Mrs. Chidimma Awak, both from the national secretariat.
