The Nigerian School Sports Federation (NSSF) is gearing up for a series of exciting sports competitions for secondary schools nationwide.
Starting from February 10, invited schools from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will converge in Lagos for swimming and chess championships .
Enugu, Kano Shines As NSSF Selects 26 for U15 Match Against Ghana
The swimming competition will take place at the National Stadium swimming pool in Surulere, Lagos, on February 13-14, 2025.
Students will compete in various categories, including under-18 and under-15 boys and girls, in events such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
The chess competition, on the other hand, will be held at the Universal Basic Education Board Hall in Maryland, Lagos, on February 10-11, 2025.
Students from under-9, under-12, under-15, and under-18 categories will participate in this event.

In addition to these competitions, the NSSF will also conduct an administrative seminar on February 12 at the NSSF secretariat in Surulere.
A Milo secondary schools basketball stakeholders forum meeting will also take place on February 13, 2025, at the same venue.
The NSSF president, Olabisi Joseph, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, including federal and state governments, for their support and cooperation.
