The Nigeria Police Force has promoted 104 officers from the Plateau State Command to various ranks, urging them to be more dedicated to their work.

According to State Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Adesina, the promotions were based on the officers’ track records and service in different units across the federation .

The promotion exercise aligns with the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun’s philosophy of transforming the force for effective service delivery.

Adesina emphasized that the IGP prioritizes the welfare of officers and men, leading to the promotion of deserving officers.

The newly promoted officers were charged to maintain their commitment to ensuring peace and security in Plateau and Nigeria, without succumbing to corrupt tendencies.

Among the promoted officers was CSP Mathias Tyopev, a former PPRO and Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Unit, who pledged to be more dedicated to his responsibilities.

17 Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP)

10 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP)

77 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)
