The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 14 Headquarters, Katsina, comprising Katsina and Kaduna states, AIG Aliyu Abubakar Musa, has ordered water tight security deployments across Kaduna and Katsina States ahead of the forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
This was contained in a statement issued by Zone 14 Public Relations Officer, CSP Gambo Isa and made available to newsmen in Katsina.
According to the statement, in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokum to all Zonal and state Commands to ensure public safety, and security at EID praying grounds recreational centers, and vulnerable points.

The AIG urges members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious person(s) or group to the nearest security personnel.
“In line with this directives, Katsina State Police Command under the leadership of CP Bello Shehu, is pleased to announce that, it has put in place adequate security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Sallah celebration throughout the state”
To achieve this, the command has deployed adequate personnel and assets to strategic locations across the state to ensure lives and properties of the citizens are protected and urge the good people of the state to cooperate with the command as well as other security agencies.
Also in a statement issued by the Command’s Public relations officer DSP Abubakar Sadiq said personnel are deployed across the state, especially for the sallah special duty and call on parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against engaging in activities that contravene the law.
No Durbar, No Horse Riding During Eid-El-Kabir- Police
DSP Abubakar added that, the command specifically wish to warn against reckless and unlawful horse riding, dangerous driving, unlawful gathering, substance abuse, etcetera, which may cause chaos and endanger the lives of good people of the state.
Furthermore, the Command also caution individuals/miscreants with malicious intentions against causing trouble; they are hereby advised to discard their plans, as the Command is ready to take decisive action against anyone who attempts to disrupt the peace and tranquillity of the state before, during, and after the festivity.
