Commissioner of Police, CP Abayomi Shogunle, will now head the Special Intervention Squad (SIS), Elections Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, and the Safe School Protection Squad.

In another key appointment, Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Chima Ogarashi, has been named the new Force Marine Officer (FMO).
He will oversee maritime security, policing, and enforcement of maritime laws.
These appointments coincide with the Police Force’s acquisition of 25 new gunboats and plans to procure additional maritime safety equipment.
