The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has issued a press release to clarify that the Port-Harcourt Refinery is fully operational, contrary to reports alleging its shutdown.

The Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd Olufemi O. Soneye explained that, the confirmation comes after former Group Managing Directors of NNPC verified the refinery’s operational status a few days ago.
According to the press release, preparations for the day’s loading operation are currently underway.
The NNPC Ltd urges the public to disregard the false reports, which are believed to be attempts to create artificial scarcity and exploit Nigerians.
