The Katsina State Government has taken drastic measures to sanitize the healthcare system by shutting down all private health institutions.

The move has been welcomed by parents, who see it as a positive step towards ensuring quality healthcare services.

Malam Aliyu Abbas Daura, a parent, praised the government’s initiative, stating that it would help reduce the number of unqualified medical personnel in the state.

He, however, urged the government to expedite the investigation process, allowing qualified institutions to reopen and students to resume their studies without delay.

Another parent, Malam Kabir Abdullah Katsina, expressed concerns about the prolonged investigation period, which has left students idle for over eight months.

He appealed to the government to assist students in returning to their normal classes, considering the academic calendar is already ongoing.

The Chairman of the Coalition of Private Health Institutions of Katsina State Student Union, Comrade Nu’uman Abubakar, echoed the concerns of parents and students.

He called on Governor Dikko Umar Radda to address their concerns and reopen qualified institutions without delay, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping the future of young people.
