The Kano State Fire Service has reported that three lives were lost due to various disasters in August 2024.
Public Relations Officer Saminu Yusif Abdullahi disclosed this to newsmen in Kano.
According to Abdullahi, the fire service received 32 emergency calls, including 21 fire calls and 11 rescue calls, during the month.
“While three lives were lost, the fire service also saved three lives”
He pointed out that, properties worth ₦47.8 million were damaged, while an estimated ₦102.9 million worth of properties were saved.
“The Director of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Hassan Ahmad Muhammad, urged the public to handle fire with care to prevent incidents”
Abdullahi also advised motorists to drive carefully and follow traffic laws to avoid road accidents.
