In the rich fabric of our journalism profession, a few exceptional leaders leave a lasting impact. Today, Saturday, August 17th, 2024, marks a significant milestone as News and Current Affairs of Radio Nigeria Kaduna bids farewell to one of its most distinguished leaders, Musa Usman, as he exits service.
Throughout his remarkable career, Musa has demonstrated unwavering dedication as a reporter, editor, and producer of numerous programs, as well as a correspondent for multiple states and the National Assembly. His leadership extends to his roles as General Manager of various FM stations and, notably, the longest-serving DDNCA, a testament to his exceptional commitment and service.
For 35 years, Musa Usman has stood at the helm, guiding us through the ebb and flow of our daily challenges with unwavering dedication and wisdom. His presence has been a beacon of strength, his words a source of inspiration, and his actions a testament to true leadership and more importantly he has never failed his assignment.
Beyond his managerial role, DDNCA has touched the lives of each and every one of us in ways both big and small. He has been a mentor, a confidant, and a friend, father always ready to lend an ear or offer a word of encouragement. His genuine care and concern for our well-being have created a supportive and nurturing environment that allowed us to thrive and grow together.
*My Observations*
Musa Usman is a remarkable individual who embodies exceptional qualities. Although he is not a Sheikh or Mallam, he is deeply committed to his faith, diligently observing prayers at the prescribed times and continually seeking Islamic knowledge. Notably, he exercises thoughtful deliberation, never rushing into crucial decisions, which consistently yield optimal outcomes. His simplicity, focus, and excellent listening skills further distinguish him. Moreover, he is content with his life and treats others with respect, never looking down on anyone. His exemplary character and attributes make him a truly admirable person.
I’ve worked with several DDNCA including Late Alen Agbo, Sani Suleiman, Yunusa Tanko, Abdullahi Aliyu Dankama, Buhari Auwalu, Auwalu Muhammad, and Musa Usman. Only Allah knows who’s next.
As we bid farewell to DDNCA today, we reflect on the countless memories we have shared – the challenges we have overcome, the successes we have celebrated, and the laughter we have enjoyed together. His legacy will continue to live on in the bonds we have forged, the lessons we have learned, and the values he has instilled in us.
To our dear boss, as you embark on this new chapter of your life, know that you leave behind a lasting impact that will endure for years to come. Your guidance, leadership, and kindness will be remembered fondly, and your absence will be keenly felt.
Thank you, DDNCA, for believing in us, trusting our ability and thank you for your years of service, your commitment to excellence, and your unwavering support.
May your retirement be filled with joy, relaxation, and new adventures. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Muna addu’ar Allah ya kara maka lafiya da arziki da Imani da kuma hakuri.
Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah.
