Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the Kano State Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, has launched the Community Orientation Volunteer Project, an initiative designed to educate women about government programs and policies that benefit them.

The project, spearheaded by Afnan Foundation, aims to mobilize patriotic women to spread awareness and empower fellow women .

Speaking at the launch, Waiya emphasized the project’s role in bridging the communication gap between the government and women in the state.

He highlighted the state government’s efforts to empower women, including providing N50,000 monthly to 4,400 women and procuring buses to transport female students to schools safely.

Former Deputy Governor Professor Hafiz Abubakar commended the project, urging participants to remain dedicated and committed to ensuring its success.
