In a move aimed at strengthening his administration and enhancing governance, Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sworn in seven new commissioners and 12 advisers.
Kano Assembly Confirms Waiya, Sagagi Others As Commissioners
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government House in Kano, where Governor Yusuf charged the new appointees to be dedicated and committed to their duties.
He emphasized that their appointments were carefully made to ensure the selection of capable hands that would contribute to achieving good governance.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s commitment to addressing numerous challenges facing the state, including:
Improving infrastructure
Enhancing education
Boosting healthcare services
Empowering women and youth
Ensuring access to clean water
Supporting agriculture

Ibrahim Waiya: Commissioner for Information
Shehu Wada Sagagi: Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industries
Dr. Ismail Aliyu Danmaraya: Commissioner for Finance
Dr. Shehu Sani: Commissioner for Power and Sustainable Energy
Dr. Dahiru Hashimu: Commissioner for Environment
Abdulkadir Abdulsalam: Commissioner for Rural Development
Wada Ma’aji: Commissioner for Public Procurement
Governor Yusuf urged the appointees to live up to the expectations of the people by being committed and dedicated to achieving the set objectives.
He also reassured the public of his administration’s commitment to fulfilling all campaign promises and called on the new appointees to collaborate with their colleagues for optimum performance.
The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by top government officials, lawmakers, and other stakeholders
