The Aminu Magashi Garba AMG Foundation has recognised the exceptional services provided by seven frontline health workers in Borno State by awarding them the Dr Aminu Magashi Annual Award of Excellence for Frontline Health Workers.
In a statement signed by the Director of Operations AMG Foundation Jalo Sulaiman made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, the 4th Annual Award ceremony was held on Friday, 26th September 2025, at Amada International Hotels in Maiduguri, Borno State.
AMG Foundation Honors 5 Outstanding Health Workers in Abuja
The awardees include:
-Dr. Dauda Anto Waziri from MMC LGA as the Most Dedicated PHC Staff (male)
-Mrs. Falmata Musa from Dolaram PHC, Jere LGA, as the Most Dedicated PHC Staff (female)
– Ali Muhammad from MCH Konduga as the Most Committed Volunteer PHC Staff
– Malama Falmata Abacha from Ngazai PHC, who received the Most Patient-Friendly PHC Staff award (female)
– Karumi Sanda, who received the Most Patient-Friendly PHC Staff award (male)
– Ali Musa from Jere LGA, awarded as the Best Performing LGA Immunisation Officer (male)
– Yagana Sale from Monguno LGA, awarded as the Best Performing LGA Immunisation Officer (female)
Each of the seven awardees also received a cash prize of N50,000.
In his remarks, Dr Magashi, Chairman of the AMG Foundation, highlighted that the initial idea for the award, conceived by an Abuja-based NGO, was to recognise his dedication to improving healthcare services in Nigeria.

He stressed that,the idea was remodelled to honour unsung frontline health workers in the country.
“I have a desk and shelves full of awards; I don’t need it anymore. I would rather it go to the frontline workers, and that’s how the idea of initiating an annual award in my name came about,” Dr Magashi stated.
The awardees expressed their appreciation for the recognition and pledged to put more effort into discharging their duties.
