The ECM is a technology-driven initiative designed to digitalize records management, reduce paperwork, and improve efficiency in official correspondences.

The system aligns with the directives of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to strengthen transparency, accountability, and efficiency across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
In a statement, the Ministry emphasized that henceforth, all external correspondences will be conducted exclusively through its official email addresses:

hmsregistry@fmhud.gov.com
psregistry@fmhud.gov.com
The Ministry will also deploy its website and social media platforms to further publicize the initiative and keep stakeholders informed.
Dr. Marcus Amiolemen, Deputy Director and Head of ICT, appreciated the support of the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, whose approvals enabled the smooth deployment of the ECM system.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology to deliver services in line with global best practices.
This innovation builds on the Ministry’s track record of excellence. In October 2024, the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) recognized the Ministry as the Best MDA in Innovative Use of Technology.
The Honourable Minister, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, also received the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer Award.
The recognition highlighted the Ministry’s Online Renewed Hope Housing Portal (www.renewedhopehomes.fmhud.gov.ng
), which has simplified homeownership under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme, and the Electronic Certificate of Occupancy Technology System, which streamlined and secured the process of issuing property titles.
With the launch of the ECM, the Ministry is set to consolidate its position as a leader in digital transformation within Nigeria’s public sector.
