The first flight conveying Nigerian pilgrims from Kebbi State arrived Madina Almunawwara, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 15th May, 2024.
The 422 pilgrims and 7 officials were received by the Charge de Affairs of the Embassy of Nigeria in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Mahmoud Lele Muhammed, and Acting Consul General of The Consulate General of Nigeria in Jeddah, Ambasador Ibrahim Sulaiman DanAgundi.
Others are Muhammed Daura of the Consulate,Counsellor of the Embassy, Hassanu Dan-Amu and other officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to NAHCON the second flight departed Abuja to Madinah 5:44 pm with 299 FCT pilgrims and 5 Officials.
While another flight conveying 545 Nasarawa pilgrims and 14 officials departed Abuja to Madinah at 8:04 pm with 545 Nasarawa pilgrims and 14 officials.
