The Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) foundation, in collaboration with Kano state government KNSG, and phone dealers would train 225 repentant youths on phone repairs and business skills to make them self-reliant.
The coordinator of Africa Health Budget Network AHBN, and founder of AMG Foundation Dr Aminu Magashi Garba said the training was part of efforts to empower youths and reduce unemployment.

He pointed out that, the foundation would sponsor 100 on phone repairs, KNSG would train 100 on different business skills, while the phone market leaders would contribute their quota by empowering 25 people.
Chairman of the occasion who doubles as Kano state commissioner of Police Muhammad Usaini Gumel noted that the 225 reformed youths would undergo rigorous entrepreneurship skills training.

He stressed that, in the last few months, Kano state has witnessed tremendous progress in the area of security where repentant youths were reintegrated into the society.
The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS), special advisers and senior special assistants to the Kano State governor on community policing, and NGOs
Others are special advisers and assistants on Digital Economy, ICT and 2 interim LGA Chairmen of Ajingi and Wudil, heads of government agencies and the Media.
