    Accountability: Anti-Graft Agencies interact with Kano south districts

    The Resource Center for Human Rights and Civic Education ( CHRICED) judiciously continues Anti corruption Project phase 2 in Kano state.

    CHRICED Executive Director Comrade Ibrahim zikirullahi  represented by CHRICED senior programs officer, Mr Adewoye Omoniyi said, Community-Driven Anti-Corruption Initiative project in Kano aims to provide an avenue for dialogue between the constituents and their representatives in governance .

    “However, The project will get rid of corruption by ensuring transparency and accountability as well as holding legislators responsible, and accountable on constituency projects in the state”

    Abdulrashid Adamu from wudil LGA said Kano south senatorial districts has experience several abandoned projects with less tracking records from the youth.

    “The Establishment of CHRICED Anti corruption Project in wudil has built courage within youth in tracking constituency Project” said Adamu

    Another participate Shafa’atu Adamu Umar from Sumaila LGA added that, for over 10 years an abandoned road from sumaila to Rimi – Magami road has been tracked.

    “and we will submit our report to Anti graft agencies to further more investigation”

    Speaking Kano – Jigawa Assistant commissioner of The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) Malam Abubakar Jibril, emphasize on reports of constituency Transparency Project in South senatorial district from the youth with the basic Knowledge acquired from CHRICED community driven Anti-corruption project.

    Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC kano Head of investigation Mr. Aminu Bashir urged for tangible report and active participation.

    “This will be a tackle approach in reducing corruption practice in kano senatorial district”

    ICPC and EFCC assured the participants from Kano senatorial districts of effective service and collaboration to tackle corruption with justification towards addressing the menace in the society.
