The Kano state government KNSG has targeted 3,490,355 three to fifty-nine months children for the 2024 malaria campaign. The state commissioner for health Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf announced the launch of the 2024 Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) campaign. According to him, the world health organization WHO has recommended the use of SMC as a proven intervention and reliable for malaria prevention, especially in regions with highly seasonal malaria transmission.
