Floods and windstorms have claimed 49 lives and destroyed 226 communities, in Kano State. The Executive Secretary, Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Isiyaku Abdullahi Kubarachi made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in the state capital. Kubarachi said the disaster has affected 226 communities across 27 local government areas, with 6,583 houses destroyed and 38,814 persons affected.
