Rano emirate council received palliatives provided by Kano State Government as part of efforts to cushion the current economic situation. Over 1,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State decamped to the New Nigerian peoples party NNPP. The decampees, from Shanono and Bagwai local government areas, were formally received by Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Kano State Government House. The Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) has sealed off Sassauka Clinic and Diagnosis Centre, Rimin Kebe. Seven pupils of Malam Dan-umma Quranic School at  Bayan Science, Badariya area, in Birnin Kebbi local government area of Kebbi State have been confirmed dead following tragedy while digging sand from a borrow pit. The Kano State Hisbah Board says it has arrested at least 14 persons including a woman over alleged Betnaija sports betting in Badawa area of the state. The command made the arrests under a new operation tagged “Operation Happy Sallah”, where they raided betting shops in different locations across the state metropolis.
