The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, says  51,447 intending pilgrims from Nigeria paid for the 2024 Hajj. The Assistant Director, Public Affairs of the Commission, Fatima Sanda Usara, said in a statement that after the closing of registration, the official number of intending pilgrims that registered stood at 51,447 under the government quota. It was an emotional event as tears broke out among the members of College of Arts and Remedial Studies, CAS, Kano,  IJMB Class 2002 during the disbursement of cash support to orphans of their deceased colleagues on Thursday. The forum decided to support the families of their 14 deceased members in the holy month of Ramadan to put a smile on their faces during Sallah festivities.
