Seven pupils of Malam Dan-umma Quranic School at  Bayan Science, Badariya area, in Birnin Kebbi local government area of Kebbi State have been confirmed dead following tragedy while digging sand from a borrow pit. The Kano State Hisbah Board says it has arrested at least 14 persons including a woman over alleged Betnaija sports betting in Badawa area of the state. The command made the arrests under a new operation tagged “Operation Happy Sallah”, where they raided betting shops in different locations across the state metropolis. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has declared a former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes. The United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF says boosting routine immunization would eradicate polio and childhood killer diseases in Nigeria.
