As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, the Honourable Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, extends warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria and the world.
ATA Assumes Duty As State Minister Housing Urban Development
“I am grateful to Almighty God for making us alive to witness the end of 2025 Ramadan,” Minister Ata said. “I pray that Allah’s benevolent will answer our fasting and grant us the rewards promised in the Holy Quran, ‘The month of Ramadan is that in which the Quran was revealed as guidance for humanity’ (Q2:185)”.
As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Minister Ata also urges them to continue practising the lessons and values learned during Ramadan.
“The holy month has taught us the importance of selflessness, compassion, and generosity. Let us strive to uphold these values beyond Ramadan and promote a more harmonious and peaceful society.”
The Minister then prayed for peace and unity among Nigerians. “As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, let us remember the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence. Let us work together to build a more prosperous and harmonious nation.”

In a related development, Minister Yusuf Abdullahi Ata condemns the brutal killing of 16 northerners in Uromi, Edo State.
“I call on the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. I also urge the public not to take the law into their hands and allow the security agencies to perform their duties.”
He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the victims who met their untimely death while travelling from Rivers State to Kano to celebrate Sallah with their families. “May Allah grant them eternal rest and comfort their loved ones.”
As the Muslim community celebrates Eid-el-Kabir, Minister Yusuf Abdullahi Ata wishes them a happy and peaceful celebration.
“I wish Muslims in Kano, Nigeria, and across the world a happy Eid-el-Kabir. May this celebration bring us closer to Allah and promote unity and harmony among us.”
