The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has welcomed its newly posted State Commandant, Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa, who becomes the 16th officer to hold the position.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud.

A native of Ingawa in Katsina State, Commandant Ingawa is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience, having served across several state commands, including Katsina, Jigawa, Delta, Kaduna, and Nasarawa. Until his redeployment, he was the State Commandant of NSCDC, Nasarawa State.
Ingawa is no stranger to Jigawa, having previously served in different capacities within the command before his posting to Kaduna.
His familiarity with the state’s security terrain, the statement noted, will be an advantage in discharging his duties effectively.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, and is a member of the Associate Corporate Institute of Administration.

He has attended numerous seminars and workshops both locally and internationally, equipping him with advanced skills in administration and security management.
His professional journey began at the Correctional Service Training School, Owerri, Imo State, and continued with advanced training at the Nigerian Correctional Staff College, Kaduna. Among his recognitions is the Most Punctual Staff Award he received at Jigawa Command in 2013.
The NSCDC expressed optimism that Ingawa’s redeployment will strengthen efforts to safeguard critical infrastructure, manage crises, and enhance internal security across Jigawa.
He takes over from Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, who was recently posted to Kano State following the retirement of the Command’s previous helmsman.
